Job Traveler

Shop traveler template

A packet a tech will actually clip to a job

This template is original to Job Traveler. It is not copied from a quality manual, a standards body, or another shop’s QMS. It is the layout we print: header, materials, operations with an inspection column, sign/date lines, revision, and page numbers.

Layout

  1. Black header bar: JOB TRAVELER / PROCESS TRAVELER and page n of m.
  2. Header grid for job identity. Revision is not optional decoration.
  3. Materials box. If it is not on the sheet, it is not on the job.
  4. Operations: each step is a row-block with spec, inspection Y/N, notes, and a sign/date line. Inspection steps get a second sign line.
  5. Close-out block at the end of the job, not floating on page one only.
  6. Footer on every page: revision, a reminder to keep the sheet with the part, generated date.

If your router already lives in a spreadsheet, do not retype it. Export, upload, print.

Sample vs full

Anyone can generate a watermarked sample. The sample is stamped SAMPLE — NOT FOR PRODUCTION and stops after three operations. The paid PDF is the whole route, no watermark, and you can save the job to reprint after a change.
